Advent at Emmaus 2018

Advent is the beginning of the Church year and a four-week time of reflection, waiting and preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ. Join us for worship, celebration and community service events throughout this most humbling
and festive season.

 The Season of Advent Begins

4:00pm Worship & Pot Luck

Join us for worship followed by a pot luck New Year's Dinner celebration and begin the season with a "Reverse Advent Calendar" project of personal devotion that doubles as a collection of new and gently used items to benefit area non-profit organizations.

Tuesdays, November 27 & December 4, 10, 18

 A Christmas Carol

Pastor Emilie shares her own family tradition: a live reading of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, complete with all the voices! Come & join us for a dramatic reading of this timeless classic and enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and even a home-made Christmas pudding as we gather around the fireplace.

Sunday December 16

A Festival of Lessons & Carols

4:00pm Worship and Community Caroling

First celebrated in 1918 at Kings College Chapel, Cambridge, U.K., the Festival of Lessons & Carols was designed as an “imaginative approach” to worship. Join us for worship in the spirit of this 98-year old tradition, followed by neighborhood Christmas Caroling and hot cocoa for all ages!
